Reality In Exile

I saw post linked on Bubble that a guy setup his own search engine using SearXNG that aggregates results from various search services. The big thing is that users are neither tracked nor profiled. There are no ads, no stored searches and it is not running on some corporate infrastructure.

That fits what I want these days. To slowly find the tools to ween myself off of what being online has become... meaning what it used to be before it became a invasive, money grab.

I call it Node66 (https://search.njb1966.com) if you are interested in using it. You can also self host your own instance, modify it, make it into what you want (it is open source).

So far, I get good results and I know that whatever I search for isn't being filtered, captured, or used against me (not that I do anything illegal or nefarious) and that is how it should be!
